I know it has been a while since my last update. Here is the good news! Our Lone Star Term plan has dropped to .13 cents per kilowatt for users of 1,000 or more kilowatts per month. This would be a good rate for a person with a home of 1,500 square feet or morethat uses 1,000 kilowatts a month.
This rate has just been announced because of the drop in natural gas as we discussed in the last post. If you would like to secure this rate CLICK HERE NOW!

Thank goodness that the energy bubble has burst! Yesterday natural gas prices were down to 8.330 per MMbtu. If you remember the price of Texas Electricity is directly related to the price of natural gas. So I expct to see a significant drop in electrical costs in Texas soon!
We dropped our annual electric rate to .13 kwh a week ago from .149 kwh. We may not be the cheapest Texas kilowatt but we are cheaper than most. If you would like to see our rates in more detail visit our website.

We have had great news this week for cheap energy rates in Texas. If you will recall in my June 22,2008 post I explained why the price of Texas electricity was increasing at such a rapid rate.
Just a short memory jogger, over fifty percent of our electricity generation in Texas is created by natural gas and coal. So logically as the expense for these commodities increase so does our electricity cost.
Well I have some very great news for all my Texas friends! In early July 2008 we saw natural gas prices hit an all time high of over $13.50 per mmbtu. Get out the party horns and confetti! On Friday July 18, 2008 natural gas closed at $10.57 per mmbtu, a 21.7 percent decrease. This is a very good occurrence for all of the consumers of electricity and natural gas in Texas!
With this price reduction we should soon see some relief in the price of electricity and hopefully begin to see a return of relatively cheap energy in Texas. I think it is going to take some time to se cheap Texas electricity in the next few months but if this trend continues it is positive for Texas energy consumers.
Our electric rates are still some of the cheapest in Texas so if you are looking for a way to lower your electric bill today please visit this section of our web page supercheapenergy.com and sign up to lower your electric bill today!
I hope that next weeks report is as positive as this week. I suspect that we may not see as dramatic a decrease but I think prices are starting to come down to a realistic level for Texas electricity.

Let me get your attention. If every U.S. household replaced just one standard 60-watt bulb with a LED bulb, we could save 24,184,400,000 watts or 24,184.4 mega (million) watts per day. Wow, that is a lot of savings for just one bulb so what is the modern miracle?
In a previous post I told you how you could save on electricity using a compact florescent bulb. I like these bulbs because they are very easy to obtain and they are relatively inexpensive. They are so efficient that in the long run they are cheaper to use than incandescent. As you will recall they can use up to 2/3 less electricity.
Well this is certainly impressive but here is a report on the latest way to save even more on electricity with a bulb that will last ten times longer than a compact florescent light and one hundred times longer than an incandescent bulb.
LED is an acronym for, Light Emitting Diodes. You have seen them in small pen flashlights and key chains. The use of these bulbs has changed significantly since their introduction. They’re durable, energy efficient and cool running.
Today companies are designing these bulbs where they are clustered together to give brighter output. They are being used to make highly efficient flashlights, traffic signals, headlights, and even light bulbs for standard fixture like you use at home.
LED Lights Reduce Your Electric Bill. I found what I think is the best place to buy LED lights. CCrane, I like them because thy have been the leaders in innovation for years. They are a quality company with quality products.

What a difference a month can make for electricity in Texas. We have seen some significant price increase over the past month. As an independent consultant that sells electricity it does not make me happy to see these increases but I am happy that my company still offers cheap Texas electricity rates!
So what is the good news in all this bad news? I think it is that I am starting to see Texas wind electric providers selling more electricity. That is right, renewable electricity is becoming more appealing because the pricing is in line with traditional sources of energy.
Our Certified Green program, which is powered by wind, is priced the same as our month-to-month traditional electric program. Furthermore after researching today’s quoted rates we offer cheap Texas electricity rates for renewable energy. We actually beat thirteen different plans with our pricing. So if you are environmentally conscious now is the time to switch to our super cheap energy.
We all want to take care of our earth. We also would like to become energy independent from foreign sources. Certified renewable energy is the way to go. I think that for the first time renewable Texas energy is is economically viable.

Do you know that electrical generation is the number one purveyor of industrial air pollution in the United States? The majority of our electrical power comes from coal, natural gas and nuclear. Energy from these sources damages our environment by polluting our air, water, land and sea.
The future is renewable energy as discussed in alternative-energy-news.info. We need more solar, wind, geothermal sources of power that will have low environmental impact on our world. These forms reduce our carbon dioxide1, sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and mercury to name a few.
So how do you find energy providers that offer this service? I have discovered Green-E Certified energy. This service ensures the end user that the electrical product that they are using is truly helping the environment. Just like alternative-energy-news.
You can purchase a Green-E Certified product at Supercheapenergy. We all need to do our part to help our planet!

I don’t know about you but I am watching everything increasing in price. Gasoline, food, insurance, property taxes, movie tickets, you name it the price is increasing. In fact I am afraid we are going to continue to watch prices increase. Unfortunately the price of Texas Electricity is doing the exact same thing.
So why are our prices increasing? The majority of electricity generated in Texas comes from natural gas and coal. The price of natural gas has increase over one hundred percent in a year and coal has increase by over eighty percent. This does not help our Texas electric rates.
There are two good things that will help us through this tumultuous time. First, and most immediate, is that the consumers of electricity have the right to choose their provider. Unlike the past we were stuck with one company and had no choice. So look for the lowest rate you can get and sign up with that provider. The second is that our state is located in a perfect geographical situation. We can take advantage of both wind and solar power.
According to the Texas Public Utility Commission, “Texas has the highest level of renewable energy potential in the nation, largely due to its climate and sheer size. The state’s wind power potential alone is almost two times as much as its total annual peak electric demand.” So Texas is well positioned for the future and I believe that as technology improves we are going to see less reliance on natural gas and coal in Texas and more wind and solar power.
So we can all get through this together. The prices may be high today but the future looks good for Texas! Renewable energy is in our future and I know we will all see the change to renewable energy in Texas.

So we live in Texas and summer is upon us. What a hot time of year and thank goodness for the air conditioning. There is just one big problem and I do mean big, our Texas electricity bills.
What can you do to reduce your power consumption today and begin saving immediately? The first step I took was to replace all of my incandescent light bulbs with the new florescent bulbs. I will not get into watts to kilowatt conversations but what I found was this. If I replaced four 75-watt floodlights in my kitchen ceiling with four florescent lights my electrical consumption was reduced by seventy five percent. That is right we have the same amount of brightness now except we are only using the electrical power it took for one bulb before.
Think about how many incandescent bulbs you have in your home and start thinking about how many kilowatts you will save. These kilowatts matter because your electric bill uses your kilowatt consumed each month as a multiplier in your bills calculation. You can use this conversation calculator to determine the kilowatts you will save. Then look at your power bill to see what your utility company is charging per kilowatt. Take this charge and multiply it to your monthly kilowatts saved and there is your monthly savings.
There are many types of florescent bulbs you can purchase but I like the ones at Home Depot or Lowes. This process is one that you can take on over time. These bulbs are more expensive but I think you will see that you can save a lot of money over time if you start to replace your old bulbs with energy efficient ones.
Remember the other side of the equation is the actual price charge per kilowatt. You need to be sure you choose an electrical company with a lower rate to complement your low consumption. I recommend you use our energy company. As of this posting we are absolutely one of the cheapest electrical providers in Texas.
More to come next week when we discuss your air conditioning system and how it can be modified to save you a lot of money on your Texas power bill. As you will see next week light bulbs a re a very cheap way to get some significant savings immediately.

What a rough summer for Texans. We are seeing record electricity rates across our state. There are many options out there for us to choose thanks to deregulation.
I want to say that I am biased because I sell electricity for Ambit Energy but I was pleased to notice that on the power to choose website we were listed as one of the lowest electric rates in my area. So I hope this helps you when you are looking to save money on your power bill.
Texas energy expenses are increasing at record rates and I will post additional blogs in the future designed to help you understand ways you can reduce your expense. I would appreciate any feedback you have that can help others save too.
